He believes it’s a “classic” trap game.Penn State, the No. 6 team in the country following the Nittany Lions’ home win over Michigan, is taking on Michigan State in East Lansing this weekend.James Franklin’s team is coming off a huge home win and now it has to play a tough Spartans team on the road. That could spell trouble.“This is a terrible spot for Penn State…think about what it takes out of you to win back-to-back games against ranked teams…and by the way, they got away with a win against Michigan. Michigan was really the better team in the second half,” explained Klatt, per Saturday Tradition. “Now you’ve gotta turn right back around and go on the road against a defensive power. This is likely to be a low-scoring affair, you’re likely to start running out of some energy, you go on the road. This is a classic trap game where Michigan State has history against Penn State…I’m a bit nervous for Penn State this week. I think a win in any form – win by 3, by 2, whatever, it doesn’t matter – if they can get out of this week with a win, that is a huge plus for Penn State.”You can view his full comments below:Michigan State has had Penn State’s number in recent years, and @PennStateFball is coming off back-to-back tough wins. @joelklatt of @CFBONFOX breaks down the challenges @MSU_Football will pose this weekend once again for the Nittany Lions: pic.twitter.com/Y9gcX8I9DW— Big Ten Network (@BigTenNetwork) October 23, 2019ESPN’s Football Power Index also has the Nittany Lions on upset alert.
