first_imgIndo-Swiss pair of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis defeated ninth seeds Yung-Jan Chan and Hao-Ching Chan of Chinese Taipei to reach US Open semifinal on Wednesday.Sania and Martina were trailing 0-5 in the first set against the Chinese Taipei pair, but came back strong to clinch the set 7-6. In the second set, Sania and Martina gave no chances to their opponents to win it 6-1.The top-seeded pair and Wimbledon winners won all their breakpoints to make it tough for their opponents. They took only 35 minutes to clinch the second set and book a place in the semis.Earlier, Sania and Martina eased past 13th seeded Dutch-Czech pair of Michaella Krajicek and Barbora Strycova 6-3, 6-0 in a contest which lasted only 59 minutes.
