first_imgKostadin Papic has resigned as head coach of Chippa United with immediate effect, Goal can exclusively confirm.Speaking to Goal after a long meeting with the club on Wednesday afternoon, Papic said that he resigned because he didn’t want anyone interfere with his job.”Yes I have resigned,” Papic told Goal. “It’s not true that I was unhappy at Chippa, but the reason for me to resign is that I didn’t want the new technical director to interfere with my job,” he added.The Chilli Boys were reportedly set to announce Mich D’Avray as their new technical director in the next few days, and this didn’t sit well with Papic.He joined the Port Elizabeth-based side before the start of the campaign from Black Leopards, but he finds himself without a job five games into the season.Papic, who coached both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs in the past, is said to be heading back to Limpopo to take over the reigns at Polokwane City. first_imgWith fireworks poised to go on sale next week, Clark County is reminding residents to pick up debris left over from the Fourth of July holiday.According to a news release, fireworks contain metals, nitrates and sulfur, along with paper, plastic and other materials. If fireworks debris isn’t picked up harmful pollutants can wash into creeks, rivers and streams.Clark County Public Works doesn’t provide extra street sweeping after the holiday and failing to clean up fireworks residue is littering, a violation of Washington law and Clark County ordinance, according to the release.“We all have the responsibility to reduce pollution,” said Dean Boening, Clean Water manager, in a statement. “If you use fireworks, you need to use them safely and responsibly, and that includes cleaning up afterward.”A list of legal discharge times can be found online at: read more
