first_img(1) The final night of any festival is the best excuse to dig out your favourite outfit and get dolled up to the nines. Of course if anyone compliments us on our attire we’re reply in the typical, modest, Irish way by saying “what, this old rag? It’s just something I fired together at the last minute”  (2) Donegal people are partial to a few pints to celebrate festivities. We might be convinced to go out “for just one” – but we know deep down it’ll be six or seven. (3) If you’re at the Dungloe festival, you might pretend to not be too interested in who wins the Mary from Dungloe. In reality, you’ll be waiting with bated breath to see if your favourite Mary wins. There’s also a chance that you might bump into the legendary D.O.D.
