Woodward forced a fumble and returned it for a score to help ice the 34-24 win over Colorado State last Saturday.Junior receiver/kick returner Savon Scarver was named the Mountain West Conference special teams player of the week after returning a kickoff 107 yards for a score against Colorado State. Scarver leads the nation in kickoff return average as he averages 41.4 yards per return.The Aggies bring an offense to Baton Rouge, La. that ranks 19th nationally in scoring offense (38.5 points per game). They are sixth nationally in sacks allowed (0.75 sacks) and 12th in passing offense (326.3 yards per game).Junior signal-caller Jordan Love is 14th nationally in passing yards per game (301.8 yards per contest) to also pace the Aggies. Love has also completed 64.8 percent of his passes (105-162) for 1,207 yards, 6 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.Love’s leading receiver is graduate student receiver Siaosi Mariner (22 rec, 305 yards, 2 TD’s).Utah State’s running game is paced by junior tailback Jaylen Warren (50 car, 335 yards, 6.7 yards per carry, 4 TD’s) and his senior counterpart Gerold Bright (60 car, 301 yards, 5 yards per carry, 2 TD’s).The Aggies rank 43rd nationally in scoring defense (21.5 points per game) and are 35th against the run (114 yards per game) and are tied for 103rd against the pass (263.5 yards per game) with Eastern Michigan.Woodward has 55 overall tackles to lead the Aggies, along with his aforementioned four forced fumbles. Junior defensive end Nick Heninger leads the squad in sacks, with two. Junior safety Shaq Bond and sophomore cornerback Andre Grayson have an interception apiece to pace the Aggies in that statistic.LSU comes into this game as the top scoring team in the nation, amassing 57.8 points per game. Senior signal-caller Joe Burrow has helped the Tigers rank second nationally in passing yards per game at 431.8 yards per contest.
