first_imgManages the irrigation systems on campus to insure properwatering of turf, trees, bushes, and all other plantings. Installs,troubleshoots, repairs and renovates irrigation systems. Performsother grounds maintenance tasks as assigned.Responds to assigned work orders in a timely manner, ensuresjob is completed to the campus standard and closes the work orderout through the handheld tablet linked to the CMMS system.Performs irrigation system task including, but not limitedto:Sets and programs all irrigation controllers.Troubleshoots computerized electronic systems, irrigationcontrollers, solenoid valves, and heads of all types.Initiates corrective action to secure satisfactory standardsand timely project completion.Repairs and inspects lines, valves, and sprinklers onirrigation systems, installs new drip and sprinkler systems;removes old systems and recovers reusable equipment.Operates tractors and trenchers to install systemcomponents.Performs other duties as required for Grounds department,including driving University vehicles to perform duties andresponsibilities.Other duties as assigned to meet the facilities’ managementobjectives including campus “Special Events” support and snowremoval activities.
